One Piece Card Game Ban & Limited List
Official policy notes and the current list of banned, limited, and banned-pair cards. This page presents the announcement content in a clean, readable format for competitive play.
Policy for Ban & Limited Revisions
The official development team states that a core design goal is to let players enjoy a wide variety of decks built around Leader cards. Throughout the year, the environment is monitored to maintain strategic diversity, with ongoing evaluation of whether a revision to the ban/limited list is needed.
When deciding whether to add cards, the announcement cites multiple factors, including a deck’s win rate, performance in major tournaments, usage rate, expected impact on future environments, and whether it reduces the viability of other Leaders.
The same policy also considers removing cards from the list when the environment allows it, so players can enjoy the full range of the game again.
Revisions are generally announced twice per year: after the end of Championship Season 1 in Japan, and after the World Championship. However, if a card directly compromises a healthy environment, additions can be made without waiting for the end of a Championship season.
